Michael Hogan from Caribou, Maine, USA, a former US military and French Foreign Legion member who fought in Syria with the YPG, arrived in Ukraine around March 2024 as a member of the International Legion. He left Ukraine around June 2024 and returned to the United States due to needing insulin injections not provided by Ukraine.
